Really neat effect. How. How did you make the shattering effect ???

Painted it undamaged to begin then would grab a section with the freehand Lasso tool and pull it out. I just kept grabbing smaller bits as I went till it was faster to paint little fragments and dust.

Thanks. Seems simple once it's explained. I'm sure it takes good attention to know where to place each fragment. The shattering effect really adds to it.
